How to Deposit at Hollywoodbets (and Do It Safely)

Hollywoodbets accepts several payment methods built for South African players, from bank cards to cash vouchers you can buy at the corner shop. Below is how each one works, followed by a short safety checklist.

Debit and credit cards

1. Log in and open Deposit.
2. Choose card, then enter your card number, expiry date and CVV.
3. Enter the amount and confirm.
4. Approve the 3D Secure prompt or OTP from your bank.

Card deposits usually reflect immediately. If a payment fails, check that online payments are switched on for your card and that you approved the OTP in time. If your bank is declining gambling transactions, phone the bank to ask why. If you set up a gambling block yourself, it is there to protect you: leave it in place.

Instant EFT (Ozow and similar)

1. Choose instant EFT in the deposit menu and select your bank.
2. You are redirected to a secure payment page where you approve the payment with your bank's usual login and two-factor check.
3. Return to Hollywoodbets once the payment is confirmed.

Your card details never reach the betting site. Make sure the payment page address is genuine before you log in, and approve only payments you started yourself.

Prepaid vouchers: 1Voucher, OTT and Blu

1. Buy a voucher for the amount you want at a participating retailer, or in your banking app where offered.
2. In Hollywoodbets, choose the matching voucher option under Deposit.
3. Enter the voucher PIN exactly as printed and confirm.

Vouchers keep your bank details off the betting site entirely. Typing errors are the most common reason a voucher is rejected, so double-check the PIN. Keep the slip until the funds reflect, and treat the PIN like cash: no genuine support agent will ever ask you to send it to them.

Kazang

Buy a Kazang voucher from a Kazang vendor, then choose Kazang in the deposit menu and enter the PIN. It works much like the other vouchers and suits people who prefer to pay cash.

SnapScan

1. Choose SnapScan in the deposit menu. A QR code appears.
2. Scan it with the SnapScan app, confirm the amount and authorise the payment.

Manual bank transfer (EFT)

1. Get Hollywoodbets' banking details from the official Hollywoodbets website, not from a message, social media post or third-party site.
2. Add them as a beneficiary in your banking app.
3. Use the reference Hollywoodbets specifies (normally your account or cellphone number) so the payment can be matched to you.

Manual EFTs depend on bank clearing and can take longer than other methods. A missing or wrong reference is the most common reason a transfer does not show up. If it has not reflected, contact support with your proof of payment.

Cash at a Hollywoodbets branch

You can deposit cash in person at a Hollywoodbets branch. Take your ID and account details. Branch staff can also help with verification questions.

Security checklist before you deposit

• Check you are on the real site. The official addresses are hollywoodbets.net and hollywoodbets.mobi. This guide is not one of them, and neither are look-alike domains.
• Check the licence. A legitimate South African bookmaker names its provincial gambling board in the site footer. Offshore sites without a South African licence give you no local protection.
